I feel like I have been in a relationship with travel for a very long time.. and though I haven’t stopped moving in the last year.. In fact, I think I have traveled the most consistently this year.. I think my relationship status with wanderlust has currently changed.
Life as a flight attendant definitely has it perks. Living on the road 98% of the time comes with a lot of quirks and you begin to live as full-time nomad. While most people become regulars at their favorite local restaurants or bars, I’ve become a regular at several places, they just happen to able all over the country.
In LA there is a quaint greek spot by my hotel and my favorite noodle bar down the street. New York has a sweet spot that serves the freshest dim sum in the heart of Flushing. I have my coffee place in San Diego and the fresh peanut butter stand from the Saturday market. The perfectly spiced kabab from my Lebanese treasure in Detroit. Our shuttle drivers greet me with their warm smiles and tell me ‘it’s been too long.’ The den in Boston is stock piled for the crews that come by, equipped with la-z-boys and books just to make you feel at home. And how can I forget the bartenders in Baltimore that still remember you drink order even if it has been a few of weeks.
How can I explain all the beautiful that comes from being a regular in a situation that isn’t the most regular. All of the familiar faces and places are what make this job the best and unique career on the planet.
So when you finish work on Friday night and head out to meet your friends, I do the same. It just happens to be somewhere else. A few weeks ago we took our after work outing to Venice Beach for some Poke and carnival food. I’ll take the California sunshine all day — plus it keeps my hair perfect! Check out my latest video for some Cali INSPO or if you need a travel pick me up. When I have really long layovers I call them my f-acations (Fake Vacation) — because I get to play in new places — working seriously feels like a dream sometimes!

Quick update on me — Between my job and free time I have been traveling nonstop for the last few months. However I’ve manage to collect a few videos and photos along the way to share with you! The next couple weeks I’ll be featuring Central and Southern California! What to do, how to get there and so on and so forth!
So enough back story lets jump into that good — good. A couple of months ago we decided to rent a car on one of our trips and take a stroll up to the Sign of the Stars.
**I call this a stroll only because yours truly is not the most athletic one in the room — an abbreviated hike is probably the best way to describe what went down here **
